9 Ways to Self Sabotage Your Happiness

Fear

You become fearful of how awesome life could really be. Life begins to flow and you are scared that things shouldn’t be so easy. You become fearful because there isn’t any drama. You begin imagining or creating situations that take away your happiness.

 

Ignore Your Feelings

Your feelings are your inner compass. When you choose to ignore what you are feelings, you create situations that don’t support your best self. Your happiness is then quickly sabotaged because you continuously engaging situations and people that further take you of your path.

Pay attention to what you are feeling at ALL times.

 

Self-Made Milagros

A Course in Miracles is clear on the subject of Milagros, they occur naturally and when they don’t something has gone wrong.

Do not create your own Milagros.

When you push or force a desire to come into fruition, you quickly go from manifesting desires to manifesting disasters. Self-made Milagros are never better than the real deal!

 

Lack of Clarity

You can become unclear or confused about what you really want. You thought you wanted this job or that boyfriend, but at some point you become unsure.

Lack of clarity will mess with your head, your manifestation and your happiness.

Best thing to do is get quiet. Your confusion is coming from too many thoughts. You are projecting into the future and also attempting to figure out all the details of a situation or outcome.

Once you get quiet you will create inner peace and happiness, and eliminate frustration.

 

Demanding instead of allowing

You become really grumpy when your dreams and desires do not manifest on your time. A Course in Miracles teaches that happy dreams have the energy of, “Thy Will be done,” and not. “I want it otherwise.”

When you demand your happiness from the Universe, you block the natural flow of coincidences and synchronicities.

Instead of demanding, it’s best to allow the Universe to do its thing. Ask and then allow.

 

Comparing

Everyone’s journey is unique. You have personal lessons to learn and mental patterns to unlearn. When you choose to listen to your fearful thoughts about others having more or doing better than you, the sabotaging is immediate.  When you think you are better than others you also create self-sabotaging energy.

 

Co-creating together is a way better than comparing and competing. Focus on being your authentic self and you will be much happier.

 

Hating

When you become jealous of others happiness you block your own happiness from flowing. There is enough for everyone. When others receive it’s a reminder of the Universe’s generosity and the Universe gives equally to everyone one.

Celebrate others’ happiness and your happiness will flow abundantly.

 

Being ungrateful

Focusing on what you don’t have instead of being grateful for what you have; is a sure way to sabotage your happiness.

I love the Bible verse that says, “Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice.”

The message of the verse is to always be in a spirit of gratitude. If you are grateful you will be given more to be grateful for. When you choose to feel unsatisfied with what you have, you send out negative energy and the law of attraction makes sure you get what we put out.

 

Holding a Grudge

Forgiving yourself and others is essential to your happiness. When you hold on to the past, painful memories or negative thoughts, you drain yourself of your energy and power. Instead of having more to give, you have less time, energy, creativity, passion and resources for your happiness and dreams.

Holding on to what no longer serve you, energetically clutters your lives.

A grudge will never serve your best interest. It’s best to forgive and let go.
