This woman always gives me great vibes through the web!
Whenever I have needed a pick me up or words of encouragement she is there! She has send me awesome links on Facebook and amazing resources through HerFuture.
What is your most FUN memory as a child?
When I was 8 years old, my school had a talent show and I entered as a Michael Jackson impersonator! My mother curled my hair and dyed it temporarily black, and I copied some of his dance routines from his music videos and live shows. I then just kind of free-styled it to ‘Black or White’. Crazy! It was a lot of fun and the first time I’d ever been on stage.
What is your most FUN experience as a Herfuture member?
I LOVE HerFuture so much. I’ve met and befriended some amazing women over the past year or so. I think the most fun experiences have been in the chat room – I remember Terri Cole and Christine Gutierrez turning up there once for a coaching session. That was really cool. It’s also been amazing (and fun) to see different members grow and overcome challenges.
What is your most FUN moment as a professional?
With my current work with Careershifters, I occasionally get to video-interview people who have made interesting career changes. I really enjoy meeting them, talking with them, it’s so informal and they’re always really friendly, upbeat people. One of them used to work in PR and is now a professional singer, and after our interview we ended up singing together at one of her live shows.
What is your most FUN food to eat or cook?
Ah! That’s easy. Every Saturday when I come back from my morning run I make chocolate and vanilla pancakes with dairy-free vanilla ice cream. It’s the BEST! I get so excited just waiting for them to be ready.
What is your most FUN place to visit or travel?
A few years ago I went to the Galapagos Islands for four months to volunteer, that was ah-mazing. The wildlife is spectacular, the people are warm and friendly, there’s lots of homemade food available, and even though there isn’t much in the way of theatre/nightclubs etc, you can just spend all your time snorkelling, surfing, hiking….
What is your most FUN spiritual practice?
Kundalini yoga! And dancing. Whilst I meditate, journal and make art, which really gets me feeling close to the divine, I have to say that being physically present in my body is the most fun way to connect. This might sound crazy but sometimes even when I’m on a rollercoaster ride I feel connected because I feel very present, senses are heightened, and you have to surrender to the ride. Oh, and sex!
What is your most FUN holiday/vacation?
A couple of years ago I took a short weekend trip with a friend to North Devon, UK, to go to an all-women’s surf school/festival. They laid on a lot of activities besides surfing, including yoga, dance classes, live music, and barbeques! It was so laid back, the weather was great, and I got to do all my favorite activities. It was almost like being at summer camp. So cool!
What is your most FUN way to relax or chill out?
Set aside a couple of pampering hours. So, start off with a candle-lit bath, with yummy essential-oil based bath products, and play either ‘sounds of the ocean’ or meditation tracks. Then I hang in my bedroom with magazines, candles, some Jack Johnson, and use gorgeous body lotions. Then I might do some yoga.
Otherwise – getting a professional massage! It feels so luxurious and I always walk out feeling like I’ve been on vacation.
